Bestå is popular because it does two jobs at once: it carries the television and it hides what should not be on show. Most people looking for an alternative want that combination in a warmer material, or want to stop replacing the whole unit when the room changes.

The configuration here is three sections at 225 cm wide, around 112 cm high, in 35 cm depth. It can stand on feet or hang on the wall, and the lower row can be built as closed oak boxes that gather cables and consoles behind oak backs and sides while the shelves above stay open. Boards are FSC-certified oak veneer over powder-coated aluminium; nothing is glued shut.

Where the systems differ most is what happens afterwards. A Bestå arrangement is defined when you buy it. A KUUDU media wall is a set of parts on a 75 cm grid, so the same boards can later become a sideboard in the hallway or a shelf in the study.

Yes. The same configuration can stand on feet or hang from wall mounts, and you can change that later without buying different parts. Wall mounting keeps the floor clear under the television.

Where do cables and devices go?

The closed oak boxes in the lower row take receivers, consoles and cables. The shelves above stay open, so the piece reads light while the technical part sits low and contained.

Can I extend the unit if I get a larger television?

Yes. Sections attach on the same grid, and level heights can be moved. A wider screen usually means adding one section and lowering a board, not replacing the piece.
