Record Shelf in Oak – Modular Storage for Vinyl

Vinyl asks more of a shelf than most objects. A record sleeve stands just over 31 cm tall, and a packed row weighs real kilograms. KUUDU's full-depth board (35 cm) supports the sleeve completely, the even 35 cm gap heights leave room to flip through, and each board is rated for 20 kg, which corresponds to roughly 80 records per level.

The configuration shown is three sections (about 220 cm wide) at about 220 cm height with even 35 cm gaps: a record wall that holds several hundred LPs across its levels. Gap heights are chosen per level, so a row for records can sit below a shorter level for singles, a player, or a handful of sleeves on display.

Oak veneer (FSC European, oiled) on powder-coated aluminium keeps the construction stable under constant load, and the open grid lets air reach the sleeves. The 75 cm section grid extends sideways up to 450 cm, so a growing collection becomes a growing wall instead of a second, mismatched shelf. Made in Germany.
